Moody’s to PM Modi: Rein in party members or risk losing global credibility

Growing voices in the country against rising intolerance, on Friday, found an echo in Moody’s Analytics— a division of Moody’s Corporation — as it called for Prime Minister Narendra Modi to keep his party members “in check or risk losing domestic and global credibility.” It also blamed the government for its failure to deliver on promised reforms.

Google to Merge Computer Operating System With Android

Google’s two operating systems will soon be one. Chrome OS is going to be combined with Android, and the combined OS could be revealed as soon as next year, according toThe Wall Street Journal. The Journal reports that Chrome is essentially being folded into Android, because Android has emerged as the dominant operating system by quite a long stretch. Combining the two operating systems means setting up Android to run on laptops and desktop computers, which would require big changes, as well as supporting the Google Play Store. Chromebooks will reportedly receive a new name to reflect the new OS.

Google is planning to merge its Chrome OS with Android operating system and roll out a single operating system by 2017.

India jumps 12 places in ease of biz

India has jumped 12 places in the World Bank’s Ease of Doing Business index on the back of reforms undertaken by the government to improve the investment climate.The country ranks 130 out of 189 economies in the world in this year’s (2016) report (ranked 142 in Doing Business 2015), marking a significant shift in the trend after several years of decline in ranking. Under the new methodology , its rank has moved to 130 from 134 in the previous year.29_10_2015_025_020_010
